Our upholstery cleaning methods

Dry Upholstery cleaning

The upholstery of the item that needs to be cleaned will first be carefully inspected by one of our skilled technicians to determine the fabric type.
Any crumbs, hair or other unwanted loose particles will be brushed and hoovered.

The item will then be pre treated with a conditioning spray after which it will be coated with a dry solvent which will be left until it’s settled (about 10 minutes)

As it dries, the solvent will  dissolve all the dirt and then be removed using a very powerful hoover.

Your furniture will be available to be used shortly after the process is complete (around 1 hour)

Steam Upholstery cleaning

Just like the dry method one of our technicians will carefully inspect the item so he can determine the fabric type.

Once the fabric has been identified, stains visible to the naked eye will be pre-treated with a professional solution.

With the help of High Powered Steam hot Water Extraction Machine, the entire fabric is hovered along with the solution which should have dissolved the visible stains and eliminated smells and killed all bacteria in the process.

Once the process is complete,  you may need to wait up to 7 hours for your furniture to be fully dry

sofa cleaned before and after images

We love children

But sofas don't always love them. This one had gone through the mill and was almost destined for the skip. Undeterred, we brought it back to its full glory.

TV dinners casualty

We all love it, a few beers, a bowl of crisps, some peanuts and a nice football game right, until...the sofa becomes unrecognisable. That's when we come in

Frequently asked questions

What is upholstery cleaning?

Upholstery cleaning is the process of cleaning the textile that covers furniture such as sofas, armchairs, stools etc…

Upholstery tends to wear down and gets stained overtime and professional upholstery cleaning helps revive your furniture and bring it back to life.

How to clean upholstery?

You can do your very own Upholstery cleaning. Here is a 7-step method we recommend you to follow:

  1. Determine the fabric type
  2. Check the fabric condition
  3. Upon those checks, select a suitable cleaning method. (Dry Upholstery Cleaning or Steam Upholstery Cleaning)
  4. Hoover the upholstery piece
  5. Pre-treat any stains
  6. Perform the appropriate Cleaning method (Dry Upholstery Cleaning or Steam Upholstery Cleaning)
  7. Let you item dry (1 hour for Dry Upholstery Cleaning OR up to 7 hours for Steam Upholstery Cleaning)

How much does upholstery cleaning cost?

Cost varies greatly as it will depend on which piece of furniture needs to be cleaned.

You should expect to pay around £6 to get a small stool cleaned and up to £95 for a four-to five-seater sofa (these prices are only indicative and not final).

In any case, it is a lot more cost-effective to get your upholstery cleaned instead of buying new pieces of furniture because they are stained or look a little worn out.

How often should you clean your upholstery?

This will depend on the upholstery fabric type, the fabric condition and if you have pets. However, it is strongly recommended to hire a professional upholstery cleaning service once every two years.
